Should make it both days this weekend, probably Saturday and almost definitely Sunday (with a new riding buddy I met during my Afan trip 2 weekends ago).
See you at the Underpass, 10:10 -ish!!

Hi folks
I'll be out tomorrow morning, i'll be at the underpass at 10.10ish.
Got a couple of mates coming along for the mud fest... they will be meeting us at the Chingford Golf course where we often pick up Mukesh when he hasn't damaged his digits.
See you in the morrow.

I DID!
Just Mukesh (who would rather we had not turned up!) and a new riding mate of mine. It was a bit slippery/sloshy but the weather was lovely, bright and sunny!! You all missed a perfect riding day and no queue at the tea hut!
See you all next weekend (weather permitting, obviously!!) _________________ Too many trails, not enough time! |

Yeah me to...
missed the meeting point at the under pass due to punctures on route.
lovely day though but blimey it was hard going. Speed was almost impossible due to sticky wet leaves and goo. Max effort required going up and down which is just gutting.
Brought along a couple of guys one of which was on a fully rigid old Marin with balding summer tyres. Poor chap hit the deck at least 10 times - a number of which as he attempted to cross the many water features that had sprung up across the forest. I have to hand it to him though balls of an Ox as he had a go at all obstacles and never once did he compain about the sodden state of his clothing. _________________ Never lose faith in the colour of the sky. |
