We just took a trip to the Peloponnese. Here are some photos:

We had a great time. Our favourite place was probably Monemvasia where we stayed for a couple of days and as well as visiting the 'rock' we did some fantastic snorkelling. The whole place is either mountains or beaches with a load of little villages/towns nestled in between.

My guide book says this about the Peloponnese:
One of the primary strongholds and battlefields of the 1821-31 Revolution, the Peloponnese is the kernel from which the modern Greek state grew. This enourmous peninsular, which falls short of being an island by a mere 6km width of the Corinth Isthmus, also has some of the most spectacularly varied scenery and monuments on the mainland.
