Went for a ride on Thursday before the game and decided to tart up part of the usual route.
The muddy hole just before the clearing with the ditch that used to have a bridge of two white posts now has a log pontoon through the centre. going between the two silver birches gives the best line.
The similar muddy hole at the end of the next section (I think) now has a detour, turn right about 10 yards befor the quagmire and then sharpish left after 20 yards.
Of course both these options deny you comedy dismount opportunities.
I think this last patch of wet weather has really not helped, some of the routes that used to be singletrack are now tripletrack and are looking very eroded and sad, especially at the busier High Beach end

Maybe we should be preserving what is there and look at finding a route further up in the forest, where the track is less populated. All very wll coming from me, who has been very slack lately and who will sunning myself (hopefully) in France this week.
