Thanks to all who turned up for last weeks ride, especially Su nday, feel I,m slightly getting fitter, unfortunatly will not be riding this weekend owing to commitments re the Greek Orthodox Easter, at least they don't have it in Winter. So am looking for somebody else to step into the breach. See you all the following weekend.

hey pete.
have you done the evans rides before?
any good?
do you do the 35 mile job?
I think I may have a go myself this saturday.
As for Sunday, I will be riding in the woods.
However if my attempts to find the (ex)bike shed the other week are any indication , my navigational skills are sorely lacking.
Is it just me or is that big roundabout like the bermuda triangle?

The Evans ride does sound interesting, but it costs £10.
I'll be in Epping Forest for sure. |

Yeah it's a tenner, but you can grab as many energy bars as you can stuff into your pockets and there's top up points for drinkage. Makes a nice change to ride the wide open....tried the twentyseven mile last time.....that's what did the knees me thinks...up and over the ditchling beacon into a stupid headwind makes you wanna leave the bike there and get a cab.
It's in Woking this time but probably just as painful....and there's a forty odd mile one too.....Must admit I did miss Epping.
I know what you mean about that roundabout....rumour has it there's a lost tribe of riders still living there.... |

right then. I think I will give the evans thing a go.
I'll decide which length route when I see the map.
If you want to meet up , ill be there from 7.45ish - black clio, black orangesub 5,grinning inanely.you get the picture.
Oliver,As for sunday, i'm not sure what time i am gonna be up. If I make it for 10 , i'll be at the bike shed.(providing the bermuda roundabout doesn't get me.) But I am not 100% so hopefully a more competent individual will volunteer to lead.
J.
p.s - won't be able to check me mail today from noon. |
