Not having ridden in Epping for a LONG while, have a couple of questions :

How fast is the ride now a days, as havent done much XC for over a year

also

What state is the forest at the moment.

I'm tempted to get back on the bike this Sunday

Thanks

forest is a bit mushy, but not undoable.

I'm planning to be there Sunday, but weather and tiredness dependent.

Don't wait for me if i don't turn up.

See you Sunday.

As regards meeting at the underpass, we will be going that way, though I prefer people to meet at Sth Woodford in case we change the route, weather poor and know one turns up I don't have to far to go home. Also you would be surprised how many people have problems with their bike at the start point, at least then everybody knows why there is a delay and quite often will chip in to resolve whatever the problem is without having the problem of people waiting further up the trail.
So meet you at the underpass then.
Cheers Mike.

Will be there as long as it is not raining hard in the morning, its currently raining now, 8.00pm Sat night, during todays ride it it was noticably muddier, with quite a few spills, especially after the tea stop, though that might have more to do with the Metaxa in the tea kindly supplied by Pete.
Will make allowances for conditions  and fitness for the ride on Sunday.
For all the difficulties riding today it was a real laugh, including forging a new path along The Ching from Whitehall Plain, (guess who has got a new map).
Hopeing for a ride on Sunday. Mike.

Woke up 8.30 am Sunday, looked out window, gone back to bed. To wet and still raining, hoefully better weather over Easter.

Sorry for laughing at the spills.....I was very impressed by your 'dismount' at the ditch....Worry not, the Metaxa will return.
