I hate that word...but alas I am a complete newbie and would like to join you guys on one of your rides - is there one this coming  weekend planned?

I don't know how well i'll be able to cope - but I'm pretty fit and cycle at least 20 miles a day since August, all on road though...

Hi Oliver!
Glad you contacted us, pleased to say we will be riding in the forest this comming weekend on both days, for the first time I sugest you join us for the Sunday ride leaving South Woodford at 10.00am. Saturdays can be a little bit more hectic, look forward to meeting up. Please bring cycle helmet, gloves & glasses. We normally get back about 2pm with a stop at the tea hut at High Beech for a hot drink and some food.

Regards, Mike. (Mick the Greek)

hi thanks for replying. how long a cycle from fulham is this, looks about 15 miles?  so glasses are essential? Im good for gloves, a helmet, a semi-waterproof jacket, and my jean shorts are pretty kick ass. Im worried about the temporary flats i have on my spd pedals as they offer no grip but i cannot afford the shoes yet.   Know of anywhere i can get cheap glasses? Ill check out evans Friday as it's almost next door.

i cant wait, i'm sick of my only excitement being avoiding traffic in central.

Oliver

Hi Oliver
Eyewear is definitely a must - lots of spikey things in the forest to have your eye out.
There's a selection on chain reaction: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=7995

Have fun!
