So lets get this straight

Quote:
She's recently started a new mountain bike group for riders aged 35+

But in the same paragraph

Quote:
age is not important

Now I'm confused.

Further down the page

Quote:
Epping Social Mountain Bike Riders

Little bit further down

Quote:
Don't be misled by the word 'social'

Help I'm even more confused now.

Think that website could do with a bit of a re-write preferably by a non schizophrenic!!

So I can go along then?

P.S. It's a couple more years before I'm 35

Still not sure Emily, have you read the rules and regulations and signed the disclaimer?

Maybe you could get some false ID made up?

I am of sound mind and body

Anyone of sound mind and body, would certainly not be up for hurtling through the singletrack anyhow! Laughing
Oh, but then they don't attempt anything remotely technical.

And i've certainly never had a full health assessment prior to riding! Rolling Eyes Laughing

...and if you were not of sound mind you wouldn't confirm it because that would be a sound mind thing to do. You'd do the opposite and say you were of sound mind, which means you get to go no matter what.

Catch-22 anyone?

The way to catch out your common-or-garden loon is to have the confirmation read "I am a sausage". They couldn't resist ticking this box...hey presto...you're nicked.

I was wondering about this post. seemed a bit harsh to turn away someone from a "social ride" based solely on age...

I don't know about anyone else, but I always kind of figured the point of mtn biking was to keep you young... at least that's my hope!

Also seems a bit odd to me to diss another ride:

They are definitely hard-core riders and unless you're exceptionally fit and truly have "No Fear" you won't keep up. Be it on your head – you have been warned!!!

It doesn't smell half as bad now as it did that day! It was as if a Horse had taken an almighty crap in the middle of it!

I went to the pub after that aswell , smelling fresh Wink

I HATE that little section of the forest , I've pancaked my wheel there , fallen in horse shite/Mud and fallen in the brambles!
