|
For those of us not lucky to get home in time for the likes of Beastway im keen to get a posse together for some night rides. Did the last one with Smelly and it was a fun and slightly surreal experience.
Ill be out in the forest from 8pm (or later if needed) this Thursday. Flexible on meeting points.Let me know if anyone is up for it.

Simon - if you're up for it I'll near you and ride back that way too.

| Yes all...Crackhead Tower is indeed the Obelisk, which according to the plaque is eighteen feet to the East or West of the real Meridian, can't remember which. |

Was a good ride (lefty, tonto, Mick the Brick) The forest is awsome at night and a real challenge when it gets dark with the odd bit of goo causing havoc. Took the usual loop up to High Beech from pole hill.. then snuck over towards Loughton for cheeky downhill and then back again for the single track decent to Butlers... got lost right at the end as the dark started to play tricks on all of us
We also amused ourselves using our head torches, to shine 1500 lumens worth of lights, into any suspiciously parked cars we could see on the edge of the forest, (of which there were plenty) lol.. most entertaining.
I wont be out on a night ride next week but will be posting for one the week after if anyone fancies it.. will have to check what the forest is like after this weeks worth of rain. |
