I went out today for a quick half hour to loosen up my legs after saturdays ride. A couple of guys told me to go down to the green cos there was a Marin\Cannondale\Whyte test day. My 30 minute "wind down" became a 2 hour initiation to full sussers!

I rode a Marin Attack Trail, and a Rift Zone. Great fun but waaaaaayy out of my price range.

Ive been told I can have a new bike next year, but only if I give up smoking, sounds like a plan

You can test ride those bikes in the forest any day (during opening hours) - just pop into Heales.

Alaric.

That sounds like me & my mate. If so, we met you just after Pole Hill and we went down the trail by the golf course and across the road, more trail and then turned right to the green. We then did a couple more short loops on different bikes.

Not sure I noticed too much difference in the ride compared to my current FS, but the Whyte 19 hardtail was super fast! Expensive though as it was all XTR but you can get other 'versions'. Just got to wind myself up enough to order one now.

Anyway, I'll keep a check on when you're all out next and try to tag along.

Cheers, Chas.

Yeah, give it time and you will justify just about any price when it comes to bikes.... Like I said, it just takes time... lol
