Well Christmass over, and soon new year. Have not had much opportunity to get on the bike recently, Mother unwell, crap weather and sustained an injury to my leg chasing a lorry ( a long story). With ref or is it deference to Mike Brooks posting will be going for an easy road ride on Sunday 11 am, starting from Theydon Bois, opposite the Queen Victoria pub in Cppice Way, parking in Poplar Row opposite, the majority of the route is through quite country lanes, passing through Coppersale,Toothill, Ongar, Fyfield & Moreton before finally returning back to Theydon. This ride by me at least will be treated as getting to know the bike again and may even involve a stop at one of the two fine pubs in Moreton, there also may be a tea stop break at Ongar. If you may have indulged a bit to much on the Holiday and need a gentle reintroduction to biking again why not join us, have already got Mukesh, Pete & Caz to turn up, so come along even if you just want to meet us at the Pub.The ride itself is about 24 miles and would take about 2 hours at a pleasant pace not allowing for stops in Pub. Hopefully will be returning to the forest soon.
Let me know if you wish to join us, or just turn up. |
