Hi there everyone,
I found this site on another late night internet wandering. I bought my bike to cycle to work and for the forest ( as I live on the doorstep of E F ). When I ride to work and back because I have a destination I'm reasonably focused but when I'm on my own I dont seem to ride for that long. I hope to be able to get out with some of you guys soon but as I work shifts, this can be awkward. You sound like a good laugh, so I hope to see some of you soon.
By the way I dont think I'm that fit, I take about 52 mins to get from Loughton to Seven Sisters, (12 1/2 miles on the road ), would that be too slow for you guys???

Hello Sharky.
Welcome aboard.
Mick does a slower sunday ride if you can make one of them.
Although 12.5 mile in under an hour is ok -
on a knobbly tyred mtb at least.
We go much slower in the forest.
The more you ride the faster you'll get.
By the way , I also work shifts , double days , so I often go to the woods and get lost on my own mid week.If you can't make a weekend ride
(mick has the lowdown on the best routes) I could meet up with you.

Cheers J
Can't do much this coming week as her indoors keeps me under the thumb with all the DIY, and I'm on dead lates. The week after I'm on annual leave if you want to get out then that would be great.
Cheers mate

Hi to all,
Cheers Senorj for the reply. I thought I'd just let you know I haven't been out for a while, I thought as it was my holibobs from work I would get some time to myself...... Chance would be a fine thing.
I did get out on Thursday though, boy anything i had gained from riding to work has so been lost. So it looks like I may have to hold off coming out for a while at least until I get myself a little bit fitter.
I didn't want to be one of those people that say " I'll come out ", and never turn up.
I'll Keep in touch and hopefully see you soon.
Cheers sharky
