Hello all, didn't know where to put this message but settled here. I hope this weekend's rides have been fun. I opted out this week as I did the Oxford ride today. So I thought I'd write a few lines to sum it up. The route was very scenic..lots of nice rolling hills and yellow fields...with frequent passes through some nice villages with some great corners. With all this loveliness comes a small price..the climbs. I felt good up to mile thirty, then got a little nervous at the thought of doing it again, but pacing a small group helped even if the tiny leader was gunning it for britain! I know it's not a race but I was rather pleased with myself when I got a second wind and managed to drop her and kept on till the end, through some steep old fellas too!
All in all a nice day out, lots of nodding to passing roadies(semifriendly bunch!) and I tried my new camelbak out(well chuffed).
Well that's all from me..I'll see you all soon.
Pete
