i saw a program about this on Sky Sports a couple of months ago and looks well organised and alot of fun. About 75km although some road and fire-road involved as well as lots of climbing 
plenty of categories too so don't need to be a snake rider to enter - although the first guy home last year took only 2 hrs 40 mins which is going some!!!
