Definatly getting warmer and dryer, ride leaving 10am both days from Bike Shed Geoge Lane E.18. Riding was good last weekend managing to pick up a new rider on Saturday along the way (Colin), hope you enjoyed the ride. Met Bernie on Sunday, of early Bernie fame, as we are getting round quicker as the forest dries we may be able to meet up with his earlier ride and enjoy following him thru the loughton side of the forest. Don't forget Beastway season will soon be upon us, how about a team entry.Hope you have recovered now Jon from Sunday and will be joining us the coming weekend.

Probably not out this weekend!
The bike is now in my local HELPFUL bike shop and will be back Wednesday. I will now buy any spares locally for me and a certain shop has seen the last of my money!! It only took my local shop 2 mins to advise problem which is too much pressure on the front brake caliper.
Just to prove it was the bike and not me, took my road bike out for 16miles doing some hill climbs around Stevenage.
Would love to do Beastway but Wednesday is a college night and I have exams in June _________________ Specalized Rockhopper Pro Disc 2006

Hi everyone. I recently came across your website after it was mentioned in a Stevenage ctc email. I am returning to cycling after a break of six years, so struggling a bit at the moment. Can you tell me whether any of your rides would be suitable, or do i need to get some miles in first.
P.S Mukesh, i will be there too on Sunday, another "appy ammer" |

Hi Simon m,
Biking first. It would depend on how fit you are anyway. But in any case we do have some slow riders anyway and unless you are too slow (which I do not expect you would be if had been riding before) then one of would hang back so as not to loose you. So I would not worry too much about putting in the milage first. Just come and join us. Riding together and possible harder than you current fitness willonly mean that you will be regain your fitness quicker.
As for being a "appy ammer", well we try to be but long suffering at the same time. Hope we win!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| Dear Steve sugest the best way is come and join us, if you find it to hard you can always bail out, but I don't think that would be the case. As stated we leave at 10.00 am Sat/Sun from the Bike Shed (Shop) in South Woodford. See you soon.We usually get back between 2/3 pm depending on punctures, accidents and cups of tea at High Beech. |
