it's a swamp out there!!!!
unless there is some serious drying out in the next couple of days my recommendation would be that no-one rides in the forest for the time being!! what once were nice 2ft trails have become 10ft motorways where everyone avoids the muddy centres and sticks to the edges, ever widening the lines. it is certainly the wettest/muddiest I have known it.
if anyone wants some alternative cycling therapy there's a road ride from woodford at 8am on saturday - plan is 40-50 miles, 21/2-3hrs
or sunday 9am from brookmans park - 60 miles, 3-31/2 hrs

To be honest...I'd probably ride even if it was a swimming pool....kinda like the mud. Alas, the job I'm on at the moment would rather own my life, so I can't ride at all this weekend...Mind you it's been like this for a while so I should be used to it!
