sunday ride

I'm afraid i won't be out in the woods this weekend but will be doing some road work at some point.

i would really like to get together with you both prior to our welsh trip - can we pencil in next saturday (17th) for a jaunt in the forest come what may?
lefty

Sounds good. Looks like it will be dry all week so might give some areas a chance to de mud themselves. LOL ever the eternal optimist
hamster

i know i'm a bore and no-one ever replies to anything i post (paranoid? moi? lol) but already many trails to the north and east are dry and by next weekend will practically be dusty!! (assuming as forecast another week of dry sunny weather)
lefty

Really... I always thought it took Epping weeks to dry out?
hamster

plenty of dry lines (if not totally dry trails) if you know where to look - and the forecast is for plenty of sunshine. the northern and eastern sides are always drier anyway

Hi Guys (and Gals?),

I have to get out for a blast on Saturday morning as I really should test out my new crankset and hydraulics before dragging myself up and then throwing myself down some mountains in Wales!!

I'd much rather find out any problems before I am 15 miles around the Skyline trail.....

Saturday

Right then, saturday sounds good for me.

When & where? The earlier the better for me. 9ish at the waterworks underpass???
lefty

Im still down in Wapping m8.. 9 will kill me lol

How about we tag on with Mick and co who look to be leaving the bike shed at 10?.. see other thread

Dan,
Sorry but I'm with Jon with this, I'm in Cricklewood so 10am is a lot more realistic for me, especially for a Saturday.

Defo up for a run out though, so hopefully see you then, just after 10 at the Waterworks roundabout?

I'll be on a white Armadillo (yes, I know, ANOTHER change of bike... Rolling Eyes)
and will look a little larger around the middle than I should!

According to Hamish (from the 'Cru) the south of the forest is by far the worst affected by the boggy mud, maybe we can blast up the fireroads to the dry areas and then get stuck into (not literally, that's the whole idea) some of the dryer singletrack, etc?

Cool

Gents No problemo.

10 is fine by me. Am looking forward to it. The other week i went up over towards Loughton from the Warren wood pub which was dryish once you got past the hoof trodden bogs at the top of the hill. This could be a solution Question Will need to have a conflab and see what the group thinks.

Our other welsh trip buddy is off in spain this week so unfortunately he won't be out this weekend.

See you Sat.
