Schiniathlon Multi-Sports Challenge to be held on Sunday 21st September 2008!

Aloha fellow athletes!

Before you all set off on your summer holiday, we are very happy to inform you that Schiniathlon will take place on 21st September with more fun and challenge for all of you!

Schiniathlon will again treat you to the choice of a short or a long distance challenge.
All athletes taking part in Schiniathlon MUST register to a MINIMUM of 2 events in their chosen distance (short or long).

Description:
Long Distance Challenge = 1.5km Swim – 40km cycle – 10km run
Short Distance Challenge = 750m swim – 20km cycle – 5km run
Kids Format (<16 y-old) = 50m swim – 500m to 2km cycle – 250m to 1km run
Beach Volleyball tournament = Starting at 2pm

Timing:
The SWIM events will start at 10am (long) and 11am (short) respectively.
The KIDS events will start after all adults races are finished, around 2pm.

Athletes competing in the long distance challenge will need to register between 8:30 and 9:30. Race briefing at 9:45
Athletes competing in the short distance challenge will need to register between 9:30 and 10:30. Race briefing at 10:45

Schiniathlon Expo:

Presentation of tri-gadgets (bike, swim, run, transition, training accessories)
Tips and tricks for improving your performance at swim, bike, run
The body of the athlete (training, injuries, nutrition, etc)
Calendar of international events – photos from events
Assistance:
We need to find a minimum of 15 volunteers to help with : marshalling, time-keeping, water-station attendance… Please spread the word! If you find some volunteers, please get in touch at schiniathlon@hotmail.com
We are looking for sponsorship ! In exchange for contribution, we offer visibility on all Schiniathlon materials (T-shirts, posters, banners etc..).

Various contributions are considered: food for the after-race buffet, bags for the athletes race-package, souvenir hats for athletes, running belts etc etc…. If you think you have found a company who is ready to provide sponsorship, whatever the budget, please get in touch at schiniathlon@hotmail.com

Registration:
All registrations must be done on-line on the Schiniathlon website. Registration will open on 20th June 2008 (we will send you a reminder once the registration open).

Participation Fee:
Entry to the event will be subject to the payment of a 15€ fee for those that register till 12th of September. After that date the entry fee is 20€. The registration is valid upon payment of the fee.

Schiniathlon Challenge is going to be another great and festive day, we hope to see as many of you as possible, we need your support!!!
