Could anyone please tell me if there is trail/bridal way riding from the Gilwell Scout center to the main trails in the forest? Or do you have to ride road from the scout center? I plan on visiting the scout center and if time allows ride in the forest.
Thanks.

There is easy access to the forest from the scout camp - that won't be a problem. It's finding the singletrack once you are there. without a local to show you round you will miss a lot of the better trails.
when are you planning this exploration? there is a chance someone could tag along and guide you. _________________ it's all good in the wood! |

Great. I plan on coming in July, or August for the World Scout Jamboree. I hope to be volunteering there at Gilwell. One of the programs is mtb, and the only place I can think of that has biking is the forest. I've seen the maps of the single track on the web, but not how one would connect to it from the Scout Center.
Thanks. |

The is a bridleway that joins the main drive to Gilwell Park just outside the main gates - look at the grassy verge on teh left hand side.
