Owing to mechanical problems with my bike, which became more noticeable while trying to do Beastway will not be riding the forest this weekend, bike going to workshop Monday. If anybody else wishes to lead ride please post.
As an alternative I will be getting the road bike out for circuit of the Essex villages taking about 2-3 hours on both days leaving at the usual place and time, anybody welcome to join, again please post. |

Just in case anyone was thinking of joining me on the road route for Sunday, its off, had a fall while taking a bend a bit to fast in the wet, must admit mud and grass is a lot softer than tarmac and gravel, ended up with shredded shorts & bad graze to upper thigh and elbow, still undecided whether to go down to A & E, but probably not.
Cheers to all, Mike. |

Get back on the bike soon.

Well I did go to Whipps cross in the end on Sunday, but gave up when I saw the length of que, ended up getting my wounds dressed at the local pharmacy Sunday Afternoon, it now looks like I'll be visiting the local Walk in centre in Barking tuesday to have the dressings changed and make sure theres no infection. How did you resolve your injury.
Cheers, Mike. |

i waited 3-4 hours or so in A & E....got some stitches on the inside and they glued the outside of the skin. Unless i get an infection, i shouldn't need another visit to see a doc. I now have a face like a boxer and complimentary purple eyeshadow.
Not your (or our) lucky week for biking eh?... |

Hi Z,
Sounds like your stack was a bit more serious than mine, though have now come back from the Barking walk in centre with my arm & thigh re bandaged, and have got to get it re dressed on Thursday, so it looks like I won't be riding for a while,
Cheers Mike. |
