| I'm sure we are all a bit fed up with finding the forest so wet, lets hope it will be a bit drier on the ground this weekend (forever the optimist). Riding from 10.00am both days from the South Woodford meeting point. Usual format if possible, fast & furious for Saturday but a more relaxed ride for Sunday. Still trying to improve fitness for beastway. Cannot really understand how I finnished with a higher place position than Caz last week, seeing as she started after the vets, and seemed to have better lap tmes. Well there it is in black & white I beat you. What happened to Allen I see you only managed one lap, did not see you at end of race. Hope to see a few more riders out this weekend, even though it might be a bit muddy. |

The results are in finishing order. You finished before Caz, but she was faster than you (ie she caught you up a bit even tho' she started after you). I think that's how it works anyway. Sorry.
P.S This does mean that next time you have to cycle even faster to rectify the situation. (Or wait until she passes you and push her off! Sorry Caz.) _________________ Mountain Biking Holidays in Greece

Mick
In fact, made the second lap before gracefully retiring, but did not pass go so did not collect £200. Unfortunately my mind failed to get enough satisfaction against energy required!
Will not be able to join you for a few weeks. In the meantime, I hope the weather improves.
Catch up soon

Mike,
Once again I can’t make this weekend, or next I’m afraid.
Hopefully should get out after that though.
On the upside the forest should be well and truly dry by the time I do get out!

Scratch that - the Victoria line is suspended and I haven't got enough time to experiment with alternative routes. I looked at the options:
1. cycle directly there - would love to, but I've never driven in London and I'd need to stop and check the map in each intersection. No time for that.
2. Cycle to High Str Kensington, take Circle Line towards Edgware Road, get out at Liverpool Street, hop on train to Walthamstow, cycle from there to George Lane. Too involved (I don't even want to think of the return trip...) and I'm not prepared to do it.
So I think I'll devote the day to figuring out the direct route to South Woodford and will be completely independent of public transportation starting next week... have fun!
