Hey there!

Talking to Mike last week about my need for a
thesis project to use for school. I offered to
give a go at looking at your marketing
communications plan.

Any thoughts on how this may help the biz? What sort
of questions do you all have that some research
& bschool theory might assist on? Be specific.
For example, finding out what types of websites
activities work best for your biz?

I'm out traveling next month & will be doing a
world tour of mt. bike operators. Hitting NZ &
the states. I'm racing at Sea Otter so its a
great opportunity to do some field research.
What things would you like some insights on?
Why have you done what you have done to
date? What do you think is working/not
working? Plans for future? etc..

If you are all okay with the idea - then I can put together
something more formal based on your responses.

Our marketing so far has covered advertising in the two main Uk magazines; MBR and What Mountain Bike. We are also in a trails book by Bike Fax and the latest RAF sporting publication.

We are on various websites now including singletrackworld, pinkbike, mountain bike instruction, bikemagic and some adverture holidays sites.
We are advertising in cycle and adventure shops we happen to go to. I am not sure how they are doing as I know Mike is has some other things going on at the moment, but he and Chris have a weekly plan to visit bike shops and mountain biking destinations to advertise.

When it warms up a little here in Greece we plan to do more local advertising here with the help of our local chums. Is this the kind of info you need? Do you need anything more specific? Do you need to know our results of advertising (quite difficult to judge this at the moment).
