Having moved upto Stevenage, have been looking to get back to riding and in some more local places. Chicksands is fine for a loop or two but after that its boring. Local cycle shop today mentioned Broxbourne is better than Epping!! Anybody know anything about Broxbourne forest?

We may well have ridden there in our living in Enfield days. I had a look on the map to see where it is and there looks to be a few differently named bits of wood around there over quite a big area.
Maybe the cycle shop can get you in touch with some people who ride in Broxbourne - you could organise an away day

Broxbourne is pretty good but I wouldnt say that it compares to Epping. Its a lot smaller and isnt as varied and its also harder to piece it all together. I've ridden there a few times and there are a few great tracks but the biggest difficulty is finding the place. We used to ride there on the Marshall's Tuesday night rides from Welwyn Garden City but weve only ever found our way back there a few times without them. Its still worth a look if you are after a change from Chick Sands or Epping. If you havent already been then Aston Hill/Wendover is well worth a look and only about 30 minutes by car from Stevenage.
